Welcome to the Home of NorthEast Pyr Rescue

NorthEast Pyr Rescue (NEPR) is a non-profit corporation and an all-volunteer organization dedicated to providing compassionate, coordinated and comprehensive rescue services for Great Pyrenees dogs in our region, the North East portion of the United States.

Although many members have been providing rescue care to Great Pyrenees for more than three decades, NEPR was formally established in 2003

Our geographic area includes: New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Maine.

Occasionally, we have also assisted families with Great Pyrenees on the bordering areas of New Jersey and southeastern Canada.

In the spirit of cooperation, NEPR works with other reputable Great Pyrenees affiliates. In addition, as the need arises, we work collaboratively with other live stock rescue organizations. These relationships help to provide you and your Pyr with the best possible resources for information.

NorthEast Pyr Rescue is not affiliated with National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR). Our organization opposes the importation of Great Pyrenees from outside our Region for health and safety reasons.We have many worthy and healthy Pyrs in our region that need loving permanent homes. If we do not have a Pyr for you within our Region, we will work with reputable rescue affiliates that share our values and are adjacent to our borders. These collaborative efforts assure YOU and your family of a Pyr-fect lifetime match!
